Lavender and Sun, Ballet

Inspired by the rich and colourful fields of lavender, Sammoun uses a bright yellow background to portray the glaze of summer. He paints "snapshots" of the field, using his mind to balance the colours and movement in the painting. It is important to him that we feel the wind through the lavender, the movement of the whole field and the calming effect of the lavender.

Later on, he played with his palette and created the Ballet collection. This collection also brings the lavender’s delicateness but with a different background. The title "Ballet" was chosen to recall the ballerinas, symbolizing the grace and delicacy of the dancers. The wind effect is created to imitate the elegance and refinement of the ballerinas. He painted this collection in many different colours.
